Are two free QC photos enough?

Usually not on their own. EastMallBuy includes two standard-definition photos per item, according to KakoGuide, and charges ¥2 for each extra. Many agents send three to six, and some add a video. Two photos will typically show the front and one other angle — enough to catch a wrong colour, not enough to judge stitching, labels or a sole.

The fix is cheap. Decide what matters for each item and buy the extras on purpose:

Verdict: Budget ¥4–6 per item for targeted extra photos. It's still cheaper than returning the wrong thing.

Why is there so little information about EastMallBuy?

Because very few people have written about it. KakoGuide describes EastMallBuy as having "almost no independent review footprint" — no organic Reddit threads, minimal feedback elsewhere and essentially zero measured market share. Google's suggestions for the name are short too: reviews, coupon, shipping calculator, a spreadsheet on Reddit, and, unusually, "lego".

What little there is contains one warning: a reported case in which a lost parcel was refunded without the roughly $80 of shipping paid on it. One case isn't a pattern, but with so few reviews it's also most of the evidence there is.

Verdict: A thin record isn't a bad record, but it means you're the test. Keep the first EastMallBuy order small and paid by PayPal.

EastMallBuy shipping: read the FAQ before the quote

EastMallBuy markets "low-cost international freight", yet its own FAQ includes an entry on why some users experience higher rates — which at least is candid. KakoGuide found no published handling for US duty after the $800 allowance ended in August 2025, or for the EU's IOSS and the €3-per-category rule from July 2026.

1. Run the shipping calculator with your real item weights before buying.
2. For the US and EU, ask support whether duty and VAT are included in the line price, and keep the reply.
3. Choose a tracked line for any parcel over a few dozen dollars; the reported lost-parcel case shows why the shipping cost itself is worth protecting.

Who is EastMallBuy a good fit for?

EastMallBuy's speed at the buying stage — about 24 hours from order to purchase — and its coverage of Tmall and JD.com as well as Taobao and 1688 make it reasonable for brand-store purchases where a quick buy matters, such as limited stock. Its payment list, which includes UnionPay, also suits buyers who hold Chinese cards.

A low-risk first order at EastMallBuy

With an agent this new and this quiet, the aim of the first order is to learn, not to save money. Keep it to two or three items worth less than you'd mind losing, and pick at least one with details that are easy to judge in photos, such as a printed tee. Pay by PayPal. Request one or two extra ¥2 photos so you see how quickly and clearly EastMallBuy responds to a specific request. Choose a tracked shipping line, even if it costs a little more, and keep screenshots of the order, the QC photos and the shipping quote.

Write down how long each stage took — order, arrival at the warehouse, QC, dispatch, delivery — so you can compare EastMallBuy fairly with your usual agent next time.

If the parcel arrives as expected and support answered clearly along the way, you've built the track record the public reviews lack. If anything goes wrong, you've risked very little, and every link in your spreadsheet still works at another agent.
